When a child who came to us frightened and silent now smiles, feels safe, goes to school, has a home, and feels they belong, we know our mission matters. These small victories keep us going.

We stand by children and young people who have experienced neglect, violence, abuse, poverty, or family difficulties, offering them care, safety, dignity, and the chance to believe in life again.

The Initiative for the Child provides daily care: meals for 50 children and shelter for 12. It offers counseling and psychosocial support to children, young people, and their families. It supports foster care and works to end violence against children.
