Karat School Project, headquartered in Palo Alto, gives girls and women in Côte d’Ivoire and children and families without stable housing in the San Francisco Bay Area clear pathways out of poverty. In Côte d’Ivoire it runs a free, well rounded school for children and provides skills training that helps mothers build reliable income. In the Bay Area the team pairs financial and educational support with advocacy for housing stability so families gain the stability, skills and confidence to forge a safer future.
